Experience

I spent two years as the only freshman English teacher at Bear Lake High School before I decided to move closer to my family here in Idaho Falls. While I was at this job the scores on the Direct Writing Assessment went from 80% to 93%, with only four students in the entire freshman class scoring below proficient. As an experienced teacher I have many different teaching methods for all kinds of students. If you are struggling with reading or writing because of a learning disability, I know how to work with you. I have predominately-inattentive Attention Deficit Disorder, and I understand how to deal with it. In addition to my English teaching career, I also spent a year teaching seminary at various schools in the area, including a full semester at Skyline High School. I am an avid reader, and hope to be a published author someday soon.
